Retreats

As part of the "Self and Others" program for students in Grade 9 & 10 and the Creativity/Action/Service program for students in Grades 11 and 12, we engage in a number of off-campus activities throughout the school year. Retreats to locations such Fort William Historical Park, Kamview Ski Centre, Kingfisher Lake Education Centre and Lakehead University give students a chance to practice skills such as problem solving, time management, organization and teamwork. Teams are lead by senior students who have the opportunity to act as leaders and mentors for younger students. Most retreats are organized and run by IBSAG(International Baccalaureate Student Advisory Group), who design the activities students engage in. These retreats also allow students to meet and work with IB students in other grades, giving opportunities for discussion about the programme and mentoring.
